Extreme Simracing — Built for Drivers Who Take Sim Racing Seriously
Extreme Simracing is a Brazilian-engineered sim racing brand focused on one thing: cockpit and motion-sim hardware that holds up to direct drive wheels, hydraulic pedals, and the kind of long endurance racing sessions that destroy lesser rigs. The frames use industrial 40-series and 80-series aluminum profile — the same extruded aluminum used in CNC machine bases and industrial robotics — for a chassis that doesn’t flex when you put 25 Nm of torque through your steering wheel.
The lineup spans entry-level configurable cockpits up through the TERRA, GARRA, and ALMA motion simulators by ImSim, ESR’s premium motion-rig partner. At Function Factory Performance, we stock the cockpits, the motion sims, the monitor stands, and the upgrade kits that make a real sim setup come together.

Why Aluminum Profile Matters
Direct-drive wheels deliver torque outputs that wood, MDF, and welded-steel hobby rigs simply cannot handle. A 25 Nm Simucube Pro or Simagic Alpha Mini will twist a cheap chassis flat in a hard endurance stint. Extreme Simracing’s aluminum profile chassis use bolt-together extrusions with T-slot mounting — meaning every wheel deck, pedal plate, and shifter mount is reinforced and rigid, with no flex transmitting back into the wheel feel.
Bolt-together also means everything is upgradable. Bought the AX80 with a 23-inch monitor and now you want to go triple? Add the triple-screen kit. Want to move from a Fanatec CSL to a Simucube Pro? The wheel mount swaps out. Want to add a shifter? T-slot it in.
What ESR Cockpits Pair With
- Direct-Drive Wheel Bases — Simagic Alpha Mini / Alpha / Alpha Ultimate, Simucube 2 Pro / Ultimate, Fanatec DD1 / DD2 / DD Extreme, Moza R9 / R12 / R16 / R21
- Hydraulic & Load-Cell Pedals — Heusinkveld Sprint / Ultimate+, Simagic P2000 Hydraulic, Asetek Invicta, Moza CRP
- Triple-Monitor Setups — 32-inch through 49-inch ultrawide, with the triple-screen kit handling 3x32" comfortably
- Shifters & Handbrakes — Sequential, H-pattern, hydraulic handbrakes — T-slot mounted on either side
- Buttkicker / Bass Shakers — Aluminum profile transmits vibration cleanly without resonance issues

Frequently Asked Questions
Will an Extreme Simracing rig handle a 25 Nm direct-drive wheel?
Yes. The aluminum profile chassis (AX80, AX160, FX1, and the Chassis 3.0 series) are spec’d for full-torque direct-drive wheel bases including Simucube 2 Pro / Ultimate, Simagic Alpha Ultimate, Moza R21, and Fanatec DD Extreme. The wheel deck mounts through 8mm bolts into 80-series extrusions — rigidity is dramatically higher than welded-steel or wood-frame cockpits. For 30+ Nm setups, we recommend the AX160 or higher.
What is the difference between TERRA, GARRA, and ALMA motion simulators?
All three are motion simulators by ImSim (ESR’s premium motion partner). The ALMA is the entry motion sim — 2 degrees of freedom (DOF), pitch and roll, smaller footprint. The GARRA is the luxury tier — full enclosure, premium upholstery, more refined motion actuators. The TERRA is the upgradeable platform — modular DOF expansion (you can add traction loss, heave, surge as separate upgrades). Pricing scales accordingly. We can walk you through which fits your space, budget, and use case.
Can I upgrade my ESR cockpit later instead of buying everything at once?
Absolutely — that’s the entire point of aluminum profile construction. Every section of the rig is bolt-on/bolt-off via T-slot fasteners. Common upgrade paths: single screen → triple screen via the triple-screen kit, Fanatec CSL → Simucube Pro via wheel mount swap, pedal upgrade from CSL Elite → Heusinkveld Ultimate+ via pedal plate swap. The chassis itself doesn’t need to be replaced as you scale up.
Does the FX1 Formula cockpit work for GT-style sim racing or is it formula-only?
The FX1 is optimized for formula and open-wheel sim racing — reclined seating position, low pedal box, F1-style ergonomics. You can use it for GT-style racing in iRacing or ACC, but the seating angle is much more aggressive than a typical GT cockpit. For mixed GT and formula use, the AX80 or AX160 with adjustable seat positioning is more versatile.
What monitor sizes work with the Triple Screen TV Stand?
The Triple Screen Stand with PC Tray supports 26-inch through 37-inch monitors per panel (so up to triple 37-inch displays). For larger setups (3x40-inch+), the Universal Aluminum Profile Stand has more configurable cross-bar mounting. Both stands accept VESA 75/100/200 mount patterns and integrate with the cockpit chassis if you want a fully attached display rig.
Do these cockpits work with hydraulic pedals like Heusinkveld Ultimate+?
Yes. The pedal plate accepts standard Heusinkveld bolt patterns (Sprint, Ultimate, Ultimate+), Simagic P2000 hydraulic, Asetek Invicta, and Moza CRP. For Heusinkveld Ultimate+ specifically — which has very high brake forces — we recommend the AX160 or larger because the lower beam needs to handle the reaction force from the brake pedal. The aluminum profile won’t flex even under maximum pedal pressure.
How long does ESR cockpit assembly take?
A typical AX80 / AX160 build takes 2-3 hours of focused assembly if you’re comfortable with hex keys and bolt-together kits. Motion simulators (TERRA, GARRA, ALMA) take longer — typically a half day — because the actuator wiring and base calibration require attention. We can handle full assembly and tuning at our Thousand Oaks shop if you’d rather not deal with the build.
What if I outgrow the cockpit later?
Aluminum profile holds its value — you can resell most of the chassis and recover a meaningful chunk of cost. More commonly, you’ll just upgrade pieces of the existing rig (wheel deck, pedal plate, monitor stand, motion base) without replacing the whole frame. The modular design is specifically built so you can grow into bigger gear over time without scrapping the chassis.
